Lobby Loung-ing

Two Fridays ago, Cee and I embarked on a mini edventure, as she would put it, to The Westin Singapore. I was immediately swept away by their lobby lounge located on the 32nd floor. Although it had just rained when we first arrived, the sun was shining brightly by the time we left. You could imagine our heart-shaped emoji eyes as we took in everything, especially the glass windows that showed an unobstructed view of the bay. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves trying to capture the light that was so beautifully filtered in! Here here, check them out yourselves below.

Lastly, it's almost December. I can feel the tingles waiting for my favourite time of the year to arrive.
To overseas readers, stay warm!
With love, Pei.

PS Café, Dempsey Hill

It's been a while since I last posted, as always. I keep trying, and failing, to update this space more frequently. Anyway, life's pretty great for me now. Everything just seems to be in the right place, I'm not lacking of anything and it all feels great. I'll probably start worrying about university soon though but I still have time to put that off for a bit.

Anyway I went to PS @ Dempsey with Cee at the start of April. The space is seriously gorgeous and the vibe was on point. However, we didn't really enjoy our time there as you would think. They forgot about our order, so we waited about an hour before finally getting our food, and when we asked for the bill, they gave us the wrong one too. On top of that, I thought the food was just alright, that it wasn't fantastic. We had differing preference about their truffle fries though. I thought it was nice but I liked the ones at Café Melba better. Cee, however, preferred the one here more.

What are your thoughts to that?

Friday

Acme Bar & Coffee

Acme has the most fabulous vibes ever; the lighting was magical and the decoration is just perfect. I fell in love with the place before our food even arrived! There was a second storey which was not used in the morning but I spent a couple of minutes taking photos and appreciating the space. We ordered a banana caramel cake, which was awesome even though I'm not  a fan of cakes, but the coffee wasn't that amazing. Which was why I had another fix at Artisan Roast later in the afternoon.

Also, I had the most precious latte art -- a girl!
The latte art was so subtle that at first we thought it was because the barista made an error but after a closer look, we saw the girl. I sipped at my coffee so I could keep the latte art for another ten minutes.

I ate so much on the second day of my KL trip.
Trisha made me breakfast in bed, then we went to Acme, and dinner was burger, nasi lemak, indo mee and tong sui (obviously shared among the three of us, I didn't eat all that myself). I throughly fulfilled Trisha's "I eat and repeat".
